Terms of Use
Last updated: October 7, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
This website, ontariolandlordlawyer.ca, is operated by Amjad Law ("we", "us" or "our"). By using this website you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
2. Who we are
Amjad Law is the law practice of Saad Amjad, a lawyer licensed by the Law Society of Ontario since 2022 (registered name Muhammad Saad Ali Amjad, LSO number 85335U). Amjad Law is a registered business name of Saad Amjad's sole proprietorship. Our office is at 6700 Century Ave., Suite 301, Mississauga, ON L5N 6A4. Telephone (647) 550-0784; email saad@ontariolandlordlawyer.ca.
Legal services described on this website are provided by Saad Amjad personally, as a licensed lawyer. ontariolandlordlawyer.ca is Amjad Law's web address, not a separate firm.
3. Services described on this website
This website describes landlord-side representation before the Landlord and Tenant Board, appeals from Board orders to the Divisional Court, notices of termination and related applications, motions to set aside and review requests, and criminal defence. A description of a service is not an offer to act in any particular matter. We decide whether to accept a matter only after a conflict check and a review of the circumstances. Services are available in English, French, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi. Limited-scope (unbundled) retainers are available where appropriate, and the scope will be set out in writing.
4. No lawyer-client relationship
Using this website, sending the contact form, emailing, calling or leaving a message does not make you our client and does not create a lawyer-client relationship. That relationship begins only after we have checked for conflicts of interest and have confirmed to you in writing, usually by a signed retainer agreement, that we have been retained.
5. General information only, not legal advice
Everything on this website, including service descriptions and articles, is general information about Ontario law and procedure. It is not legal advice and may not apply to your situation. The law, the Board's rules and court procedures change. Do not act, or decide not to act, on the strength of anything on this website without advice from a lawyer about your own matter.
6. Send a short summary only: confidentiality and conflicts
Before we can talk about your matter we must check that we do not act, and have not acted, for anyone on the other side. Please send only your name and contact details, the names of the other people or companies involved and a one- or two-sentence description of the type of matter. Do not send documents, a detailed account of the facts, or anything you would not want another party to see until we have confirmed that we can act for you.
We treat enquiries with care, but email and web forms are not guaranteed to be secure, and information you send before we are retained may not be protected by solicitor-client privilege. If you send detailed information about a matter in which we already act for someone else, we may have to decline to act for you.
7. Deadlines
Many Landlord and Tenant Board, court and criminal steps have short deadlines, some of them measured in days. Contacting us through this website does not stop any deadline or limitation period from running and does not mean we will act for you in time to meet it. If a deadline is close, telephone us at (647) 550-0784 and seek legal advice immediately, from us or from another licensee.
8. No guarantee of results
Every matter turns on its own facts and law. Nothing on this website is a promise or prediction of the outcome of your matter. Past results, where described, do not mean that a similar result will be achieved for you, and outcomes vary according to the facts of each case.
9. Fees
The initial consultation is free. Apart from that, this website does not quote fees: the fees, disbursements and taxes for any matter are those set out in your written retainer agreement. Legal Aid Ontario certificates are accepted for criminal matters; they are not accepted for Landlord and Tenant Board matters.
10. Resources and reference pages
The Resources section, including the list of Landlord and Tenant Board virtual hearing rooms, is provided as a free convenience. Hearing rooms, meeting IDs and join links belong to Tribunals Ontario and can change without notice; we are not affiliated with Tribunals Ontario or the Landlord and Tenant Board. Join links on that page open through a third-party link service and then Zoom, whose own terms and privacy policies apply. The room, date and time on your Notice of Hearing, and any instructions from the Board, always take priority over this website. We are not responsible for a missed or late appearance caused by relying on this list.
11. Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will send it only with your express consent. Every issue identifies Amjad Law, gives our contact details and includes an unsubscribe link that works without any further action from you. Newsletter articles are general information, not legal advice, and do not create a lawyer-client relationship. See our Privacy Policy.
12. Google reviews
This website shows reviews that clients have posted publicly on Google, in their own words and unedited, drawn at random from our Google reviews except those we leave out under our display rules (for example, reviews that disclose details of a matter or compare us with other lawyers), with a link to the full list on Google. Reviews describe individual experiences and are not a guarantee or prediction of the result in your matter.
13. Accuracy and availability
We try to keep this website current, but we make no representation or warranty that anything on it is accurate, complete or up to date, including references to statutes, forms, deadlines and procedures. Always confirm details with the Landlord and Tenant Board, the court or a lawyer. The website is provided "as is" and "as available" and may be changed, suspended or removed at any time without notice.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amjad Law and Saad Amjad are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or other loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website or its content, or from your inability to use it. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the laws of Ontario, or any duty we owe to a client under a retainer or under the rules that govern lawyers in Ontario.
15. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the content of this website, including its text, design and graphics, is owned by Exhibit A Media, which built this website for Amjad Law; the Amjad Law name belongs to Saad Amjad. The content is protected by Canadian copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish or distribute content for any other purpose without our written permission. Statutes, regulations and court and tribunal decisions referred to on this site belong to their respective owners.
16. Acceptable use
You agree not to use this website for any unlawful purpose; not to submit false, misleading, abusive or defamatory information; not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its servers or the staff area; not to introduce viruses or other harmful code; and not to scrape or collect content or data from the website by automated means.
17. Links to other websites
Links to other websites, such as the Landlord and Tenant Board, the courts, the Law Society of Ontario and government sites, are provided for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement.
18. Privacy
How we collect, use and share personal information through this website, including cookies and analytics, is explained in our Privacy Policy.
19. Concerns and complaints
If you have a concern about our services, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. Lawyers in Ontario are regulated by the Law Society of Ontario, which also receives complaints about its licensees.
20. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario. Any dispute about these terms or this website will be heard in the courts of Ontario.
21. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
22. General
If any part of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any part of these terms is not a waiver. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about your use of this website. They do not replace a signed retainer agreement, which governs any legal services we provide.
